We rotate our pigs between a few different spots of woods, and gardens throughout the year, to keep them clean and healthy. Pigs are raised for about six months before harvest, they are processed at North East Kingdom Processing in VT.  Along with what they forage for, and some vegetable scraps they are fed free choice grain. We try and raise around 15 pigs a year, but that's all depending on what are sow Vanilla gives us for piglets.  We use artificial insemination (AI) to breed her twice a year.  We like this method for similar reasons to why we use it for our beef. It gives us a large variety of genetics to pull from, to help us grow the best tasting pork.
